About the Item
A delightful collection of three vintage UAC Geoffrey Pink Panther seated figures produced under license in Japan and dating from around 1981. The figures are licensed by the United Artists Corporation who produced and created the iconic Pink Panther cartoon character on which the figures are based. Created in ceramic the lightly made figures comprise of a seated figure with both knees raised with one hand on the ground and the other resting on his knee; a second of similar pose however with one leg folded lying flat and the other raised and the third figure lying on his back resting his head on his arm and his legs folded and crossed. Each is finely made and hand painted in traditional pink with colored highlights and all with printed marks to the bases including copyright marks and one dated 1982. The figures vary in height and width and have included the largest dimensions.
Provenance: From an extensive private collection of Pink Panther related memorabilia and acquired through the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light natural wear associated with age and use. Minor paint losses to one.
