About the Item
A delightful Japanese vintage UAC Geoffrey ceramic Pink Panther picture frame produced under United Artists license and dating from around 1981. The ceramic frame is of small rectangular shape with an oval opening accessed from the top edge and with an easel shaped hollow back. A seated figure of the Pink Panther sits to one side of the frame and holds a bunch of flowers raised in one hand. The lower body of the frame has been tinted in pink on a white ground and the figure of the Pink Panther is finely made and hand painted in traditional pink with colored highlights and features. The frame has black printed UAC Geoffrey mark to the base along with the residue of a Japanese makers paper label.
Provenance: From an extensive private collection of Pink Panther related memorabilia and acquired through the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light natural wear associated with age and use. There is a very small surface glaze bruise to the top left corner.
