About the Item
A delightful collection of five vintage United Artists Pink Panther figures of various form produced under license in Japan and dating from around 1982. The figures are licensed by the United Artists Corporation who produced and created the iconic Pink Panther cartoon character on which the figures are based. Created in ceramic the lightly made figures comprise of a large, seated figure resting on his arms; a similar smaller variant; two hanging figures, one from his hands and the other from his legs and a thimble formed as a Pink Panther head. Each is finely made and hand painted in traditional pink with colored highlights and four with United Artists copyright marks mostly for 1982 and some still retaining their original Japanese paper maker’s label. The largest figure with a printed UAC Geoffrey mark. The figures vary in height and width and have included the largest dimensions.

Provenance: From an extensive private collection of Pink Panther related memorabilia and acquired through the UK Art Market.
Mostly in good condition with light natural wear associated with age and use. The largest figure has had one arm reattached and the smaller seated figure has a small patch of glaze loss to his nose.
