A painting on Delft Tiles composed 6 tiles. It is fully handpaited and depicting seacreatures. All tiles are framed in oak. Colors: Camaieu blue and white Origin: Netherlands, Delft Condition: As might expected the tiles has imperfections which might be considered as an feature for Delft tiles. Height 6.9 inches - 17.5 cm Width 6.9 inches - 17.5 cm dept 1.2 inches - 3 cm Delftware or Delft pottery is also known as Delft Blue. Delftware includes pottery objects of all descriptions such figurines, plates, vases and other ornamental forms and tiles. The start of the Delft style was around 1600. the most highly regarded period of production is about 1640–1740. Delftware continues to be produced. NINE antique Delft Wall Tiles Blue & White scenes, Netherlands mainly 18th C

These are NINE Delft ceramic wall tiles, all with different blue and white hand painted patterns, made in the Netherlands, from the 19th Century to the 17th Century, but mainly 18th Century. Each tile is nominally slightly over 5 inches square.. All nine tiles are unique, being individually hand painted with different scenes and patterns featuring various scenes with buildings, trees, watersides, boats and one floral, with most having spider motif corners. They are all enamelled in cobalt blue, using different shades of blue, which varies slightly from tile to tile as expected:- please see the images. Two of the tiles have scenes within double blue circles.
