Delftware - Pair of plates with a Parrot, mid 18th century

About the Item

A pair of polychrome Delftware plates with a parrot perched on a ring in the center, with interesting asymmetrical landscape elements showing a basis in early 18th century design. The spareness of the composition and the rim with its unusual yellow ground zig zag geometric border are notable. Good antique condition with typical wear to the rim. Ca. mid 18th century. No marks. Also separately available, or beautifully combined with the 31 cm charger in the same decor (see my other listings, or sent me a message).
