About the Item
Set of German porcelain deep dinner plates in an elegant square shape and suitable charger plates hand-painted in blue glaze, and floral pattern. From famous company Van Well.
The charger plate plays a special role in setting the table - it is used as a stand for other tableware. It puts on the table first, designating places for guests. Eating from serving plates is not accepted.
A charger plate is needed to decorate the table, protect the tablecloth from contact with hot dishes, possible drops and crumbs. Using the lower plates during the feast requires etiquette. This tradition is already several centuries old and today it is relevant.
Condition is good. There are small traces of a knife and a small chip on one plate. See the photo.
