About the Item

Pair of ceramic plates made by Alessio Tasca (Nove, 1929-2020) in the 1950s, decorated with the graffito technique on colored enamel. The subjects take up famous works of Venetian painting: Diana and Actaeon, by Giambattista Pittoni Venus and Adonis, by Paolo Veronese The designs are obtained by etching the still-fresh surface of the brick-colored glaze, allowing the light background to emerge in a refined graphic effect. Both plates bear engraved signature and inscription on verso with reference work. Diameter: 34 cm.Very good condition. Contact us for more information. Worldwide shipping.
