About the Item
The Stricca glass is a cylindrical, transparent vessel animated by opaque vertical or horizontal stripes and completed with a vivid red rim. Seen as an evolution of Frost, it retains the same pure, regular lines of a clear cylindrical form, yet introduces bands, finely engraved, that bring rhythm, depth, and texture.
These stripes are a direct homage to Venice: the colourful mooring poles reflected in the canals, the gondoliers’ iconic striped shirts, and even the elegant prongs of the ferro rising from a gondola’s prow. Through these subtle references, the simple geometry of the cylinder becomes infused with Venetian character and memory.
Each Stricca is rounded with a hot-applied red rim in the glowing, intense red of a lagoon sunset.
