About the Item

Antique French Hemp Cutter we think and appears to be from the mid-1700's. After buying in France for well over 30-years this has us a bit stymied for not only have we never seen one before, but we are not exactly sure what it is? To be honest, we are not 100% confident, but rather this is our best hypothesis. Whatever it is, we do find it quite interesting visually.
