About the Item

A rare and unusual antique English large salt glazed stoneware jug modelled a a thatched cottage by Brampton and dating from around 1820. The six sided jug stands raised on a molded base with six shallow molded feet the body with incised brick work designs with two windows and a door repeated to both sides. This is set below a thatched roof with a further small window and applied with trailing ivy in low relief.
