About the Item

A hobnail pattern white milk glass pitcher, Fenton Art Glass Company, circa 1950s. The Fenton Art Glass Company was founded in 1905 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, by brothers Frank and John Fenton. The manufacturer introduced the “Hobnail” pattern in 1939. “Hobnail” features raised bumps in a uniform surface pattern, named for its resemblance to the soles of hobnail boots. The hobnail glass pattern, characterized by small, rounded raised knobs, became a highly successful product line, particularly the milk glass version introduced in 1950 A large and heavy high quality glass pitcher, with an applied handle and a crimped upper rim. Milk glass mixes beautifully with every type of tableware. 8.5 inches High x 8 inches from handle to spout x 6 inches wide. Excellent vintage condition
