Art Deco Tray in Verre Églomisé, Wood and Brass with Peacock, Europe, early to mid 20th century.
This is a truly wonderful art deco tray with a very nice peacock design in verre églomisé. Very elegant and distinct art deco design with nice colors and wonderful use of material. Painting the back of a glass plate or mirror is a technique used for centuries called ‘verre églomisé’. Also the scalloped edges in solid wood and the handles in patinated brass are very nice touches of this art deco tray. Just a very elegant and refined piece.
A sparkling and elegant tray to shine on a table, a bar cart or to be used to carry drinks.
Comes in a very original condition with some wear to the paint, as can be seen in the pictures. Very nice patina on the wood and brass.
