About the Item

A Majolica green glazed leaf pattern deep server, England, circa 1870. A serrate edged rectangular platter with open work twig form double handles. Beautiful mold work showing four large overlapping leaves radiating from a central circular leaf medallion. Acorns and serrate oak leaves stem from the handles, on a stippled background. A deep green glazing pools into the recesses of the complex mold work. Measures: 11.25 in. L x 8 in. W x 1.75 in. H Maker unknown, stilt marks evident on the verso, a kiln effect.
