About the Item

A very rare George III Irish Serving Slice made in Dublin in 1813 by R. Sawyer. The Slice is a typically Irish design with rectangular blade and fiddle pattern handle. The blade is finely pierced and engraved with a fish and dolphin and displays outer prick dot borders and foliate sprays in each corner. The top of the blade has a wavy edge and the top of the handle is engraved with a contemporary Crest. This piece is in quite excellent condition and is very well marked. Additional information: Length: 11 inches, 27.5 cm. Width: 3.25 inches, 8.13 cm.
