Le service à dessert de l’atelier Cerenne à Vallauris est un ensemble séduisant qui charme par ses douze assiettes de 20 centimètres, accompagnées d’un grand plat rond de 30 centimètres. Fabriqué en céramique, ce service se distingue par sa glaçure jaune et brune, ornée de figures de santons provençaux, chaque personnage étant accompagné de son nom en patois provençal. L’atelier Cerenne, dirigé par Charles René, a marqué son époque de 1944 à 1959 en réalisant des œuvres remarquables, comme un service prestigieux pour le duc et la duchesse de Windsor. Ses créations ont su séduire une clientèle raffinée, dont le célèbre prince Ali Khan, attestant ainsi du savoir-faire artisanal et de l'originalité de cet atelier emblématique de Vallauris.
