Set of 8 coasters by Fornasetti in silk-screened porcelain, with "Monete" decoration made for Banca Unione Milano in the 1960s. The series was given as a gift by the bank to its customers at Christmas 1970. Complete series with original box. Ø cm 10 Fornasetti is an Italian luxury design brand founded by Piero Fornasetti in 1940. The brand produces a wide range of products, including furniture, wallpaper, lamps, ceramics and fabrics. These products are all characterized by Fornasetti's distinctive style, which is a blend of classicism, surrealism and humor. Piero Fornasetti was an Italian artist, interior designer, sculptor and printmaker, best known for his extravagant and theatrical designs. His work was inspired by classical Italian art and architecture, as well as the Surrealist movement.
