VIENNA / Old Imperial Austrian Porcelain Manufactory ( = ALT WIEN / KAISERLICHE PORZELLAN MANUFAKTUR ) dated 1806 and 1815 ABUNDANTLY PAINTED (STUNNING PICTURE PAINTING !) HALLMARKED: PAINTER'S NUMBER 106 ( = LORENZ GSCHLADT ) BLUE BEEHIVE MARK (UNDERGLAZED) PAINTER'S NUMBER: 106 = LORENZ GSCHLADT (HAVING BEEN ACTIVE 1799 - 1851) FORMER'S NUMBER 46 and 47 DATED 1806 CUP and 1815 SAUCER. It is porcelain of highest quality, manufactured as from 1806 - shortly after end of famous SORGENTHAL PERIOD (1805), when MATTHIAS NIEDERMAYER has taken over direction of Viennese Imperial Porcelain Manufactory. SUBJECT: This excellent ANTIQUE VIENNESE CUP WITH SAUCER DERIVING FROM AUSTRIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY is decorated in finest manner with ABUNDANT PAINTINGS DEPICTING ORNAMENTS OF SO-SAID GROTTESCHI-TYPE, consisting of borders with acanthus scrolls and golden painted patterns laid on grey / purple red / salmon pink shaded bottom as well as with FINEST PICTURE PAINTINGS presenting SCENES OF ANTIQUE MYTHOLOGY: There is a meeting of two crowned kings on saucer's middle area existing / the picture visible on cup's outer wall shows a bull's sacrificing in front of a monument of Greek God Zeus: Some warriors and a priest are assembled around the Holy Fire. - The edged areas are painted in GOLD / golden painted handle of classic type existing.
