A striking Japanese Imari charger, painted in vibrant enamels of red, blue, green and orange. The patterning reminiscent of a chrysanthemum blossom. Each "petal" painted with alternating brocade or floral patterns, with four overlapping roundels of phoenix and dragon. The central medallion featuring a spray of peony blossoms.
