Late 19th Century Pair of Large Paris Porcelain Statues

About the Item

This vintage pair of late 19th century French porcelain statues are signed "France" in very dark blue over the glaze & over, what appears to be, a much lighter blue scepter under the glaze. The stunning pair, a man & a woman, of Paris porcelain statues are beautifully rendered & carefully costumed in period garments. Each of these full figure gentry characters are positioned standing alongside decorative water wells. Hand rendered painted accents are prominently featured on both costumes, walls & platforms. The superb quality of these porcelains is evident. There is no lack of detail to be found! Measures: 14" tall x 8 5/8" x 7 1/2".
