Meissen figurine of very lovely appearance: Boy Riding on hobbyhorse Model E 94 Measures: height 6.10 inches (15.5 cm) diameter of base 2.75 inches (7.0 cm) Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (glazed bottom) model number E 94 / painter's number 12 First quality  Dating: 19th century / made circa 1860-1870 Material: porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain Style: Rococo Designer / modeller: Christian Gottfried Juechtzer (1752-1812), this model created circa 1774-1775. This figurine had been attributed to Acier even until nowadays, but recent investigations revealed the fact that most probably Juechtzer made the models: This modeller was leader of Meissen model department as from the year 1794. Juechtzer had become well-known caused by modelling figurines made of (white) bisque porcelain. Subject: It is a boy riding on hobbyhorse: The figurine wearing feathered hat as well as clad in elegant Rococo garments stands upright / the boy rides on hobbyhorse. Additionally, he seizes a long stick with right hand. Next to the boy there is a marble column's stump attached to base. The figurine is supported by round base decorated with golden painted ornaments at edged area.
