Meissen stunning figurine group: gardener figurines Model F 94 Measures: height 8.26 inches (21.0 cm) diameter of base 4.72 inches (12.0 cm) Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (glazed bottom) painter's sign existing at reverse side First quality  Dating: 19th century / made circa 1830-1840 Material: porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain Style: Rococo Modelled by: Michel Victor Acier (1736-1799) The sculptor was born at Versailles / France. He had studied Art of Sculpture in Paris and was appointed as sculptor of Meissen Porcelain Manufactory then (1762). Acier created many models generally in style of Rococo and specially in Watteau style. Finally, the sculptor became Model Master of the Saxon King in year 1780, moving to Dresden then. Model F 94 created, circa 1778. Detailed description: Subject: Figurine group / gardener figurines (two young women and a youth) ° The girl having sat down holds an opened bird's cage being balanced on her knees ° The escaped bird sits on left hand of a second girl looking down to her colleague (she stands on a rock) / The girl with bird seizes a basket filled with fruits ° Finally the youth turning his back to the girls holds a rose flower blossom in hand, in front of him there is a high column's pedestal visible to which an Amphora vase is attached to (the vase is partially hidden by leaves growing out of tree's stump) The figurines are based on round & rocky support.
