Set of Vintage Fish Service Plates in Bavarian Porcelain with Japanese decor

About the Item

Fine Porcelain and Koi Carp dart in every direction on six different plates, not counting the serving plate. Don't be fooled by the Japanese decoration of these vintage plates because their origins are not oriental but European, precisely from the German region of Bavaria, known for its production of excellent porcelain. It is a set of dishes created to serve fish, it can be guessed from the oval shape, rather than rounded, produced between the 60s and 70s by the "Waldeberg" Porcelain Manufacture. This fun and stylish Mid Century ceramic plate set consists of: 6 plates 23cm by 17cm 1 larger serving dish measuring 31cm long by 22.5cm Made of white porcelain with a gold edge. On each plate there is a Koi fish print in different positions, making it perfect to be used not only as ordinary tableware but also as wall plates, to create an unusual wall decoration.
