Vienna / Old Imperial Austrian Porcelain Manufactory (Alt Wien / Kaiserliche Porzellan Manufaktur) dated 1821 Hallmarked: PAINTER's NUMBER 14 (= JOHANN HIRSCH or PHILIPP BUCHECKER) FORMER's NUMBER 27 VIENNESE BEEHIVE MARK (IMPRESSED) DATED '821 (= 1821) It is porcelain of highest quality, manufactured in period when Matthias Niedermayer had direction of Viennese Imperial Porcelain Manufactory (1805 - 1827). Subject: This excellent Antique Viennese cup with saucer deriving from Austrian imperial porcelain manufactory is decorated in finest manner with various ornaments: The saucer is decorated with golden painted patterns of stylized and abstract floral type covering white porcelain. The mentioned patterns enclosed in radiant segments are altering segments having pink surface. The cup's outer wall is ornamented with patterns of same type; additionally, its inner rim is painted with golden wreath of leaves as well as with golden border. This cup's very special feature is the picture painting with View of Viennese Saint Stephen's Cathedral shown at front side. The Viennese Cathedral is one of most famous cathedral churches of Europe, having been first constructed during Roman period (the Roman cathedral was finished in year 1147). The Gothic period started under the reign of House of Habsburg which had begun in year 1282. Finest quality of multicolored painting! There is following painted sentence in French language at cup's reverse side visible: 'La Cathedrale de St.Etiènne à Vienne' (= Viennese Cathedral of St.Stephen) Size: height diameter of cup: 3.54 / 3.34 inches (9.0 / 8.5 cm) diameter of saucer: 6.02 inches (15.3 cm).
