About the Item
Creamware knife rests,
Italian,
Circa 1810-1820
The two rests are of similar form with a raised scroll terminal to each end. One with pierced stylized flower heads and leaves in the central panel to each side and the second with a column design with a point to top and bottom. Each is open at the base. Similar examples can be found in the V & A Museum, London.
