About the Item

A stylish antique French Lunéville Majolica pottery asparagus server made by Keller et Guérin. The server stands raised on four moulded leaf feet and is modeled open ended with asparagus stems tied together by string forming a rounded dish with raised sides. The server has four draining holes to the base and is hand painted in blue, green brown and purple with natural glazed white elements. The server has an impressed LUNÉVILLE mark to the base along with a partial Keller et Guérin mark. Offered in excellent original condition with light natural age crazing to the glaze.

A rare and stunning French majolica twin handled pottery bowl applied with birds by renowned maker Sarreguemines and dating from the latter 19th century.
