English 19th Century Painted Tôle Tray Depicting Playful Dogs and Turtle Doves

About the Item

An English painted tôle tray from the 19th century, adorned with dog motifs. Created in England during the 19th century, this tray draws our attention with its skillful depiction of two dogs (a large and a small one) playing with one another in front of a stone fountain. Upon closer inspection, one will notice doves in the background, one of them fluffing up its neck to court. Adorned with scrolling foliage on the outer border and showcasing a lovely golden and black contrast of colors, this English 19th century painted tôle tray will make for a great addition to any living room or dining room.
