F.B. Rogers Silver Company Paul Revere Silverplate Trophy Bowl Argentina 1955

About the Item

A unique engraved silver plate Paul Revere Bowl. This petite dish will be a great addition to a current silverplate collection. This piece is unique, as it is engraved on the front with: A.E.W. Wives, Argentina, 1955. Although we can't find any information about this club from this time period, we believe that it is related to the Oil Wives Club. During this time period, many expat families were stationed in Argentina. Those (particularly in oil and gas) formed social groups. Including the wives of the men who worked in oil and gas. Many of these men were offshore for weeks at a time, and the oil wives groups became like a second family to many women. This piece in particular was created in 1955 and is from Argentina. Imagine the exotic travels and stories that happened in the homes of these women during that time period! Dimensions: 5.75" Diameter 2.75" Tall
