Rare, 1880's Sterling Plate Tea Cup Inscribed Stars & Bird by West Silver Co.

About the Item

This rare and unique quadruple silver-plated tea cup was created in the late 1880's by the West Silver Company out of Taunton, Mass. This stunningly unusual cup shows hand-inscribed stars in the background with a bird that wraps beautifully around the cup. The creative details are very unusual for this period, making this cup an extremely favorable piece to add to a collection or to a presentation grouping on a table or shelf.

Antique silver plated coffee and tea set by Elkington & Co made in the United Kingdom in the 1880s. Elkington & Co are one of the most important names in English Silver and Silver Plate.
