A fine antique fruit bowl or centerpiece.
By Gorham.
In sterling silver.
Dating to 1896.
With a hand-hammered, heavy-gauged wide rim with repousse fruit & flowers, a lobed oval bowl section, and four heavy-gauged scroll feet.
Marked to the base with a Gorham factory mark / Sterling / 4400 / a date cypher for 1896.
Simply a wonderfully silversmithed bowl from Gorham!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There are some creases and dents to the side walls of the bowl section (likely from use of a heavy utensil), some visible scratches throughout, and some nicks to the bottom of the bowl. Otherwise, there are some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
