A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver photograph frame, an addition to our ornamental silverware collection.
This fine antique George V sterling silver photograph frame has a plain rectangular form with a circular internal window.
The surface of this antique silver photograph frame is plain and unembellished.
This impressive photo frame is fitted with an oakwood back and hinged strut, secured with two silver swivel catches, the silver swivel catches indicates the quality of the piece.
This fine George V piece is fitted with a removable glass panel.
Note: The majority of such frames have a wood lining to the anterior surface, it is a sign of quality when frames have an unlined, solid silver formation.
Condition
This antique silver photograph frame is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent presentation condition. The oak wood back is also in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the posterior surface of the frame have wear in keeping with location and age, but remain legible.
