About the Item

A fine pair vintage Danish silver spoons commemorating 200 years of American Independence by Georg Jensen and dated 1976. This stylish pair of spoons are very simplistic in their design with rounded bowls with a tapered rectangular ended flat handle. The handles are engraved 200 with a further engraving to the reverse reading 1776 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1976. With Georg Jensen makers marks and impressed STERLING DENMARK. In good original condition.

    A very fine and scarce French pair silver Baptismal oil containers in its original leather fitted travelling case dating from 1850. The two cylindrical shaped oil containers are conjoined and both have tight fitting covers mounted with crosses. The oil containers have engraved initials OC and SC probably denoting oil and incense which would have been used in the baptismal ceremony. The identical lids too are similarly marked to ensure that these are not mixed up.
