Description George II sterling silver pourer with lid, London, 1734. Flared body with subtly molded stepped circular base. Finely chiseled floral carvings and foliage on the surface, heraldic coat of arms engraved in the center of the body. Domed lid with chiseled floral decoration, hinged and surmounted by a molded socket. Expanded spout with decorative perforations. Shaped and curved handle. Sterling silver marked with 4 punches: Manufacturer logo: unidentified Passing lion: league mark. 925/1000 sterling title guarantee check Leopard head with crown: city of London Date letter year: 1734 Dimensions HxWxD 21cm x 21.5cm x 13cm Weight 1.152gr Provenance Private Collection ■Condition Slight signs of weather wear and surface scratches. The four punches are present on the side of the pourer.
