Very beautiful pair of hammered silver cups mounted on a square base Decorated with festoons topped with a barrel supporting a semi-hollow vermilion cup, bordered by a carving of flowered warheads punctuated with sheaves of wheat, all in a slightly rounded square shape. Dimensions: height 13.5 cm – base 11 cm x11 cm – cut 24x24 cm Material: 925/°° Silver Weight: 1486 grams Hallmarks: English lion passant – Birmingham anchor – Order no. 1722 Period: early 20th century Goldsmith: C. CODMAN for GORHAM Origin: BIRMINGHAM In 1891, the Englishman William C. CODMAN was entrusted with responsibility for the Projects department; in 1897 he created the “MARTELE ATHENIC” series for large goldsmiths. Inspired by similar antique models To our cuts.
