John Reily, English sterling silver monumental tray from 1788 (Georgian era), with a gadrooned rim. It measures 29'' from handle to handle (24 3/4'' excluding the handles) by 19'' in width by 1 3/4'' in height, weighs an impressive 152.8 troy ounces, and bears hallmarks as shown. John Reily was a London-based silversmith. Some of his pieces are in the permanent collection of the prestigious Victoria and Albert Museum.
