Large American Sterling Silver Ladies Dresser or Vanity Set with Matching Clock

About the Item

This very large sterling silver ladies dresser or vanity set was made in the United States, in approximately 1920 in the period Art Deco style. The set is composed of at least nineteen pieces, more if every single piece is counted, and includes the traditional mirror, comb, brushes and vanity jars, but also includes the matching scent bottle and clock. Remarkably, none of the glass jars or scent bottle have any chips or rough edges to the rims and the scent bottle dabber is also free of damage. Each of the pieces has an engraved border with a stepped accent at the top and bottom of each piece respectively. Each piece is also hallmarked with a deer or stag head followed by "STERLING" in capital letters consistent with the early markings for the Wallace Silversmiths Company of the United States.

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. The mirror has a scratch running down the front and the large brush has a small dent. The clock movement turns freely in the housing when it is wound and some wear to the clock face as presented in the photos.
