About the Item

Pair of antique grape shears, Krusius Brothers, made of sterling silver with the motif of grapes, grape leaf, vine in three dimensions with fox heads. These shears are made in Germany and were popular in the Victorian era, as they were used to cut a bunch of grapes from large bowls that were displayed for guests at dessert time. These secateurs have "Sterling" stamped on the handle and "Krusius, Germany on the hub of the blade. The Krusius brothers began production in 1886 in Solingen, Germany late 19th century.
