Pair of Cased Silver Gilt Anointing Spoons – Birmingham, 1936 A fine and decorative pair of English silver gilt anointing spoons, crafted in the interwar period and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1936. Made by the respected firm Barker Brothers Silver Ltd., these ceremonial spoons feature finely engraved floral and foliate motifs to the bowls, complemented by ornate repoussé-style detailing and rosette medallions along the handles. Each spoon is finished with a twisted stem and flared terminal, and richly enhanced with a gilt (vermeil) finish.
