Pair of super sumptuous 950 silver candlesticks. Made by Odiot in Paris, circa 1860. Each: Knopped shaft on double-domed foot with curvilinear rim; tall and straight socket with detachable bobeche. Dense and chased Classical ornament with scrolls, beading, leaves, scallop shells, and egg-and-dart. Applied and engraved scrollwork. Stippling. Reeding. Engraved armorial and interlaced monogram. Fully marked with Minerva head, maker’s stamp, and no. 2132. Total weight: 25 troy ounces.
