A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver meat skewer/letter opener made by Mary Chawner; an addition to our diverse flatware collection. This large antique Victorian sterling silver meat skewer/letter opener has a tapered form. The surface of this skewer is embellished with a contemporary engraved initial ‘R’ below the plain circular ring loop finger piece. The reverse surface is plain and unembellished apart from the featured hallmarks. This fine example of antique silversmith was crafted by the renowned London female silversmith Mary Chawner. This fine antique George III sterling silver cream jug has an oval shaped form. The surface of the incurved panelled body is plain and embellished with a bright cut engraved oval carotuche to either side, one side bears the contemporary engraved initials' and the other remains vacant. The upper and lower rims are encompassed with applied reed decorated borders. This fine Georgian silver cream jug is fitted with a plain scrolling handle ornamented with applied moulded decoration. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver locking tea caddy by Henry Chawner; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver tea caddy has an oval form. The surface of the tea caddy is encompassed with bright cut engraved fabric swag designs and floral festoons, suspended from impressive spiralling foliate anchor-points accented with pensile bud designs. Each spiralling motif flanks a shield shaped cartouche displaying the contemporary engraved initials 'WM' and surmounted with a ribbon style bow.
