About the Item
We are happy to offer you this crystal bowl with a sterling silver pedestal by S. Kirk and Sons of Baltimore, Maryland. Famous for their iconic “Repousse” and “Rose” patterns, this is very different and unique to the maker. Unlike their other patterns that are intricate and ornate, this piece is fairly simple and contemporary. The pedestal is sleek and has no decoration and is NOT weighted. The glass has a scalloped rim and is also beveled with ridges going from the center to the edge. In the center there is a giant starburst that compliments the ridges found around the circumference. As beautiful as this piece is, and it really is special what makes it even more desirable is that it’s so functional. Cut up fresh fruit and even dishes with acidic liquid can go right in without any worries. Beauty and functionality cone together in this fabulous piece!!
