Sterling Silver Pair of Old English Tablespoons Hallmarked, SHEFFIELD 1916

Sterling silver pair of old English tablespoons Made in 1916, ( 107 years old), by Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd., Don Plate Works, Arundel Street, Sheffield. A full set of hallmarks applied by the Sheffield Assay Office:- Crown - Sheffield Assay Office mark. Lion - Sterling silver guarantee Lower case y - date letter for Sheffield 1916 CB over &S - Maker`s mark for Cooper Brothers An excellent pair of large and heavy table serving spoons, made in the ever popular Old English shape. Well used and well loved - excellent patination. Notice that there is minimal wear on the bowl lead edge - showing that they have not been over used, and still have many many years of use left in them, certainly enough for several generations. No initials on the stem - you could have yours engraved - make them personal. No damage - dents, scuffs or scratches. Measures: Length:- 218 millimetres / 8.58 inches. Total weight:- 176 grams / 5.66 troy ounces. Single weight:- 88 gms. / 2.83 ozs.
