Complete English hallmarks showing they were made in Birmingham in 1891

Anchor - Birmingham Assay Office
Lion - Sterling guarantee mark
Lower case r - Date letter for Birmingham 1891
JD over WD - Maker`s mark for John & William Deakin, for
James Deakin & Sons, Sidney Works, Matilda Street, Sheffield.
A superb set of spoons and tongs, all in unused condition.
The spoon stems have feather edge decoration all the way round, terminating in a stylised floral display., containing a small, vacant, oval cartouche. The pattern is on both sides - called "double struck".
The tongs are similarly marked, but only on the outside.
They are stored in the original black leatherette box: bedded on purple velvet, and the lid lined with white silk. All in very close to original condition.
SUPERB QUALITY - VERY CLEAN - UNUSED.
