About the Item

Complete Vienna clock on six stocky ball feet made of alabaster, architecturally structured wooden case with fruitwood veneers in the shape of a portal, steps in front flanked by two alabaster columns in front of triple mirrored glass, framed on the sides by two carved and ebonised caryatids heightened with gold, gilded appliqués in the form of medallions and festoons, cubic clock case with gilded decorative fittings, with a small baluster on either side, crowned with an alabaster bust of an ancient philosopher. Round brass plate movement, spring-wound daily movement, Viennese 4/4 hour strike, strike on 2 bells, strike silencing, thread-suspended sun pendulum, white enamel dial with black painted Arabic numerals - hours, minutes and date display (day). The movement has been checked by a master clockmaker, completely cleaned and is in full working order, key available. Made around 1810 Dimensions: height: 52,0 cm / 20.47 in width: 31,0 cm / 12.20 in depth: 14.0 cm / 5.51 in Very good original condition, fully working, pendulum and key present. Movement serviced and cleaned by master clockmaker.
