About the Item

A complete set of flatware is extremely rare to find. The set is created in the French style of Art Deco was found in Argentina. Made from the highest quality silver plate with shapes and sizes to fit the most demanding table setting. The pattern is called Longchamps and each piece is signed and made by Plata Lappas, Argentine's equivalent of Tiffany or Gumps. The set is made up of 12 x 12 piece place settings plus ten serving pieces, 154 pieces in total. All matching and all newly polished. The set includes: dinner set, fish set, lunch set, desert set, coffee/tea spoons and so on. Serving pieces are: Soup ladle, serving spoon, sugar tongs, gravy ladle, salad serving spoon and fork, master butter knife, cake server, fish serving knife, fish serving fork The feel and the design are stunning with a nice heavy stepped base with a two-fold decoration and even the back of each piece has an obvious stepped edge detail. This is a wonderful set and should become an appropriate heirloom for any family. The box is great, also in steeped in the Art Deco style, including nice deco hardware on the outside with three locking drawers. All completely refurbished interior felt to accommodate at least another 75 year of practical use. Plata Lappas. The company's achievements throughout the last century have been extraordinary. Plata Lappas has had two different stores in Buenos Aires. One in the famous Florida street and was opened to the public for more than 60 years and the Second one and most influential is the store located in the trendy neighborhood of Barrio Norte, Santa Fe Avenue. With only two stores Plata Lappas has managed to position its products all over the world.
