About the Item

Polly large jug in mold-blown glass is one of Paola C.'s icons and one of the favorite pieces created by designer Aldo Cibic, who defines it as "a simple glass jug." Behind this simplicity is a great deal of research into shapes and proportions so that Polly jug can hold about 1.5 liters (approx. 50 fl. oz) while having a fairly small size. Polly is a handy, lightweight carafe that combines sobriety and elegance; therefore, it is perfect as a piece for both simple and more elegant table settings. Its compact size allows it to serve different people without excessively cluttering the table in either width or height. Lightweight and versatile, Polly is also perfect as a flower vase for small bouquets to decorate both the home and the table for special occasions. Polly large jug is made by a semi-industrial process of blowing on a wooden mold, so each piece is slightly unique. The product is made of lead-free glass that is dishwasher-safe; this detail allows for sanitization, so Polly jug is great not only for home use but also for commercial settings in bars and restaurants, for example. Polly large jug is part of wider family consisting of two smaller jugs and two glass sizes, featuring soft shapes capacity and versatility. All items in the Polly family are available at 1stdibs.
