Victorian Sterling Silver Cow Creamer

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver creamer in the Rococo style; an addition to our Edwardian silverware collection. This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver cream jug has a plain pear shaped form. The body of this silver cream jug is embellished with flat chased simplified leaf designs incorporating scrolling borders and scale motif panels, in the Rococo style. The decoration to the body incorporates an applied moulded border to the upper shaped rim and an impressive scrolling leaf design to the underside of the spout. The formation of this Edwardian piece reflects an early Georgian design and style often associated with the renowned silversmith Paul de Lamerie. This impressive example of Edwardian teaware is fitted with a cast and applied shaped scrolling handle with a predatory bird's head to the upper terminal and further leaf designs to the lower socket. The jug is supported by three impressive cast and applied ribbed feet with scrolling sockets in junction with the body. The underside of this sterling silver cream jug bears the retailer's mark 'Carrington & Co., London, 130 Regent St', in addition to the registration number '6940'. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing shaped arches accented with simplified floral motifs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied ribbed border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged subtly domed cover surmounted with an impressive scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is embellished with pin struck decoration emanating from the centre in addition to a wriggle work stylised floral design. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver pepper has a cylindrical shaped form realistically modelled in the form of a champagne bottle. The lower cylindrical portion of the body is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved Roman numerals 'XXIX' - 29.
