About the Item

Circa 1860-90 Grand Scale Meissen Covered Soup Tureen & Undertray, German. In the scattered flowers or streublumen pattern. Shaped, gilt edges & gilt detailed acanthus leaf handles & twist knops. Extremely minor rubbing to gilding. One tiny chip on the underside of the right undertray handle. Meissen crossed swords mark. 20 3/8" w., 13 7/8" d., approx. 10 3/4" h. overall.
