About the Item

Early 20th century double sided English chemist sign Made from double sided glass with reflective silver illuminated text, this early 20th century example of an English chemist trade sign would have hung outside a pharmacist for most of its life. Framed with a cast metal support and hanging hooks as shown. The sign has had some restoration lead supports added a while ago, but overall, in completely original condition as shown and firm in form. Signed MAW London PAT 302703 at the base of the graphic. Size: H 22” x W 20.5” x D 2” Origin: English Date: Early 20th Century Condition: Fair With natural wear and tear due being hung outside all its life this item has wear in the form of crackled paint on one side more than the other as shown. The metal areas show rust, with 2 lead repair strips across the glass graphic which is solid in form. The hanging chains are not part of the sale.
