Fine 19th Century Bronze Arm Adornment, Cameroon

About the Item

This finely cast bronze late 19th century arm adornment from Cameroon is possibly Kirdi in origin. Displays a beautiful form, the adornment features a prominent central ridge, and over time, the surface of the bronze has developed a lovely smooth patina. A similar example of arm adornment with this type of form appears in 'The World of Bracelets' (p. 81) a publication on the Colette Ghysel collection of jewellery.
