Geometric Barmbara Sukuru Animal Mask with horns, teeth, Mali, West Africa. Inserted wood teeth, abstract face with open eyes, raised eyebrows and framed face. Old native repair with iron strip on top of mask.
Mask is 13 3/4" inches, on custom metal and wood stand 18 1/2". Wear, polish and deep dark patina inside and out from traditional use.
Created mid 20th century or earlier.
